Open lecture of Dr. Rаine Hermans
On October 17, Dr. Rаine Hermans, Head of the “Strategic Intelligence” Unit of the Finnish Agency for Innovation and Technology (TEKES), gave a lecture to the VUZF University Community on "The Finnish innovation Model". Discussion followed, moderated by Prof. Evgeni Evgeniev, VUZF University.
Finland offers a best practice in this area:
• Ranked 4th by the Global Competitiveness Report for 2011/2012;
• Together with Sweden, Denmark and Germany, it is one of the top innovation leaders;
• It has 1.687 Finnish participants in EU innovation funding programs;
• It is a Global Hub for Information and Communication Technologies with the top brand “Nokia”;
Finland collaborates with Germany, UK, and France in the area of innovation and scientific research and ….why not with Bulgaria in the near future!
