Prof. Julia Dobreva, PHD

Prof. Julia Dobreva, PHD holds a PhD degree in Political Economy from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridsky. The title of her PhD thesis is Optimization modeling in the analysis of sustainable development, which she defended in October 2011. Since January 2012 prof. Dobreva is a part-time lecturer at the Higher Institute for Insurance and Finance (VUZF University) as well as an honorary lecturer for the University of Sheffield, International Faculty. In February 2014 she вас appointed as a senior assistant professor and in March 2016 she вас elected as an Associate Professor. She teaches both for the undergraduate and graduate VUZF programs in a number of disciplines, including Sustainable Development, Operative Management, Financial Management, Accounting, Management Accounting, Financial Institutions and Markets (Undergraduate level) as well Behavioral Finance, Global Studies, Bank Risk Management and Management of Bank Payments (Graduate level).

Assoc. prof. Julia Dobreva is author of two textbooks, a book and a number of scientific articles. Her research work is focused on analyzing various aspects of sustainable development, global economy, behavioral studies and institutional development. She has taken part in a number of conferences, organized in Italy, England, Denmark, Latvia, Lithuania the Czech Republic, Poland, Greece, Turkey, Romania, Qatar, etc. In addition, she has an extensive experience in the banking sector.
